Dental Insurance (not to be confused with health insurance) never seems like it pays off, however now it really does for the average dental user.
There are several NEW plans for dental insurance in Washington State, learn which one is best for you! From a Discount Plan, Fixed Benefit plan to an HMO Dental office that covers braces…yes that’s right!
By having a dental insurance in Washington State you immediately get a discount from the dentist (due to pre-negotiated discounts). Then benefits from the dental plan kick in as well (win/win).
For the first time I have found a dental plan that actually has good value for the price!
Assurant Health just opened up their plan starting August 1st to those living in Washington State…and you can see ANY DENTIST. Yes, you heard that right!
NOTE: If you buy an Assurant Health & Dental plan at the same time you get an additional 25% off the Dental Plan.
If you buy a plan for you and a spouse there is a 10% discount.
There are 3 parts to every Dental Plan (Max benefit of $1,500 per year):
1.Cleanings: Every 6-months you get $100 towards a cleaning (you pay for the difference in price). Coverage starts as soon as tomorrow.
2. Basic Services (covered at 50% for 1st year, 100% rate benefit after 1st year): Fillings, Extractions, Tooth Repair, etc.
3. Major Services (6-mo waiting period, then covered at 50% of fixed service benefit for 1st year, and 100% of fixed service benefit after 1st year): Crowns, Dentures, Inlay/Onlay, Endodontics, Periodontics, Dentures, Oral Surgery, etc.
EXAMPLES:
- A single 40-Year old would be $38.80 per month.
- A couple 45-Year olds would be $83.70 per month.
- A family of 4 (two 50-Year olds and 2 children under 18) would be $134.50 per month.
In these examples they can all go to ANY dentist and get dental work taken care of on the fee schedule per proceedure.
