You may see marketing for new individual health insurance plans called CascadeCare in Washington State. You have nothing to be worried about. Essentially they there are is one of each Gold, Silver and Bronze plan with the same exact coverage structure. Finally you will be able to compare an apples to apples comparison from one carrier to the next. Overall they have the same network of doctors as the insurance carrier regular plans, which they can customize plan designs.
The CascadeCare plans will be slightly more expensive since they have better plan designs than the insurance carrier customized plans, yet they also have slightly better benefits.
The only thing to really be aware of is that the CascadeCare Select plans are the Public Option plans, which do have a smaller network and are slightly cheaper. Since it is the first year of these plans most carriers only offer a plan in a smaller county. In general I would not recommend to get one of these plans for the first year unless you are completely sure they will cover you doctor for 2021. They are cheaper since they pay doctors less than the regular plans. This is not a bad thing, they are just new and not much savings for a smaller doctor network than the plans have already.
