We want to help you get the most out of your Premera individual health insurance plan. To do so we put together this overview with the information you need to use your plan the best. If you have questions we are here to help, however please reach out to Premera first, as 95% of the time the issue can be resolved easily by calling in or going online to see your portal with your claims or premium information.
We strongly recommend is to set up auto pay from a personal checking account. If you do it from a credit card and it gets canceled, if you don’t set it up again your policy will get canceled. They give a 30 day grace period until coverage is canceled.

FIND A PROVIDER: Premera Individual plans use the “Individual Signature“. There are other Premera networks for group plans that are not yours. When calling a doctor make sure they take the “Individual Signature” Network, as group Premera plans have a larger network. Premera is a Washington State only In-Network and urgent emergency ONLY network out of WA.

Do NOT use the WA HealthPlanFinder for searching for doctors, as their search function is not accurate. It is always best to go directly to the carrier website and/or call your doctors office/hospital system billing department directly to confirm coverage. In the Hospital Chart above that is a general overview and there are many more hospitals covered. These are the main ones in the greater Seattle area. Check the Find a Provider link above for more details.
A few additional pieces of advise and good to know information. All carriers cover a true emergency as if it is “In-Network” for health needs that need urgent and needs immediate care. If you are going to be in another state often we recommend to pick a carrier that covers that state as well if possible.
